I thought this was hilarious...

These two Middle Easterners come to America. They get separated from each other, and about a year later they get together to see who had become more Americanized. So the first guy says, 'I'm picking up my son from baseball practice, and then we're going out to McDonald's. And then I'm going home to watch some NFL football. How about you?'
And the second guy says, 'Fuck you, towelhead!'

Thanks guys!

So I was extremely unproductive today, but I had fun, nevertheless, working at Barnes with Samy and Paul. I still have a shitload of US to finish, but O well...

So it's just starting to sink in that we start school again tomorrow. Well I guess it can't be all that bad. However, before we commence on this new endeavor, THANKS! to all of you, and other awesome people, for probably the best summer ever! <3

Almost there!

Sep. 3rd, 2006 | 11:42 pm

As of now, I'm completely done with AP Lang and AP Calc. That just leaves pages upon pages of US highlighting. Not a task to be undermined, but at least it's one task only. =D

*Grumble Grumble*

Aug. 31st, 2006 | 08:02 pm

So I just got one of those Salter machine-recorded messages. Supposedly, our bell schedule has changed. As of this year, school will start a whopping 10 minutes earlier. That means that first period will start at 8 AM, instead of 8:10 AM. That messes everything up. I had a perfect schedule of leaving right around 7:55, which meant I would get to school with about a coupla minutes to spare.

I like my morning time, thank you very much.

Gah! Outrage!

So it's been a loooong time since I spent any substantial time on LJ. The last couple of weeks have been a rollercoaster ride, really. Insanely fun and amazing, followed by torture. I'm sure many of you are going through the very same torture as me, as of now. It's the cruelty that goes by the identity of "homework."

Living and breathing JSACollapse )

The little time that I have spent away from JSA hasn't exactly been thrown away either. I accumulated about 15 hours of community service, helping out at the school library over about a week. It was fun too, mostly because I knew most of the other volunteers. Notable fact: I was the ONLY non-Asian volunteer there for 4 out of 5 days. Lately, Link Crew has taken up a fair amount of time. It's actually really fun. Mr. Biggs is awesome, as are pretty much all of the other Link Crew people. Tomorrow's the last day of that. Oh, and lest I forget to mention: we get our schedules Friday. Hah!

As of now, I really should get back to homework. This entire week wasn't/won't be fun at all, mostly because I have boatloads of homework to do, for which I blame none but me. I have to finish Huck Finn DJs by today, as the deadline is midnight tonight. My goal is to finish formatting all DJs, review 2 articles and 2 essays, and finish up the last remaining bits of the math homework by the end of Friday. That leaves me with three full days of highlighting, which is good, because I have most of the REA book still to highlight.

Now, I think I'll get off LJ and back to work. I'm sorry if you actually read all of that, as it was merely a huge-ass blurb that I had been waiting to get out of my mind, and onto the computer screen. Having said that, it is time for me to bid you farewell. Onward, progress!

I really should have been doing homework...

Firefox = Teh W1n !!!

I just spent about 2 hours poking around with and configuring Firefox's keyboard commands and shortcuts. Basically, now I can browse the web completely with the keyboard. And it's awesome. I have been liberated from the mouse! And THAT is (another reason) why IE is eternally pwned by Firefox.

Ok, I'll shut up now.

So I don't know if my final schedule will look anything like this, but here goes:

1 - AP Lang
2 - AP Calc BC
3 - AP Am. Hist.
4 - AP Phys C
5 - Film Studies
Saddleback - Spanish

Someone tell me they have the same class as me =D

Windows Live Writer Test

Aug. 16th, 2006 | 12:17 am

So I've been reading about the newly released Windows Live Writer on every major tech blog that I usually read. It's a desktop based blog editor, a program that allows you to type your blog posts within a software environment, thus granting you a greater control over the look of your text, as well as eliminating the need for manual HTML. I realize that most of you already knew this; however, this is a test post to check out how well it converges with my blog. The picture is also part of the test.

On a completely separate note, do you think tags are of any value on LJ? I love the utility of tags when it comes to large collections such as photos or videos, but I have yet to realize any benefit of tagging all my LJ posts comprehensively. What's your opinion on this? Do you care enough to tag each of your posts?

Trilogy Sunday was soooo awesomely funnnnn!! Julia, thank you thank thank you for hosting us, as well as for the excellent food.

So long time no post for me. Nothing really to post about. Mostly been hanging out and spending lots and lots of time on the computer, especially on my recently renewed interest in videogames. I've started working on tiny bits of AP HW, which is not very welcome at all. Gah! Less than a month left before school starts. *sigh*
The good news: Paul's back, Samy has a car AND a cellphone.
The bad news: Lizzie's leaving for a coupla weeks =(
Anyways, don't really have much to say. On to finishing the registration packet, followed by some AP HW, followed by hanging out?

So it's been a while since I posted. Don't really have much to say. Just posted for a few updates.

- Pick up your registration packets at school! If you can't, tell me or Samy or Sami. We'll pick one up for you.

- Paul comes back on Sunday (morning).

- I will be up in the Bay Area next weekend, August 18 - 21.

- ANHS Walk Thru Registration.
Juniors: August 22. (8 AM - 11 AM)
Seniors: August 21. (8 AM - 11 AM)

- Link Crew
Training: August 29 (1 PM -5 PM), August 30 (8 AM - 1 PM).
Freshman Orientation: August 31 and September 1 (8 AM - 1 PM)

- School begins on September 5th. Gah!

So that's a summary of some important dates coming up. Don't forget them! I love my Outlook...

In other news, I haven't been up to much lately. I missed hanging out for the past coupla days with April in town and Samy and Julia back. But I hung out with Samy today, as well as Tiffany, TK, Lizzie, Nicole, and Spencer briefly. Samy can drive now, as I'm sure all of you know now! She's not half bad either. =P
I haven't done much of my summer homework at all. Worked on AP Calc homework at Barnes with Samy, Tiffany, and TK today. Good start, I guess. However, I really need to start working on this stuff, especially since I have a lot to do.

Things to do: hangout, finish summer homework, go to Disneyland for the first time, start and get into War and Peace, register for Saddleback class, go talk to Debbie Morgan, and start fundraising for JSA. Lots to do and only 26 days to do all of it. Oh, and have a birthday party. Can't forget that.

I will leave you with the announcement that I will be posting about an updated Flickr very soon. My monthly bandwidth limit has been renewed, as has been my constantly growing stash of cameraphone pics. Look for new ones tomorrow-ish.

That's all for now.
